Don’t underestimate the power of social media. Just ask Danielle Smith the St. Louis mom and creator of the website Extraordinary Mommy.
Within the last six to eight months, Danielle reconnected with Justin, a friend from college via Facebook. Justin so happens to live in Prague. Recently, he was driving is wife to the doctor when he made a shocking discovery. The grocery he drove past had a photo of Danielle and her family plastered across a store window!

According to a recent article published by the Washington Post, “couples who have a child with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are almost twice as likely to divorce or separate as couples who do not have children with the disorder. The reason? “Having a child who is inattentive or hyperactive can be extremely stressful for caregivers and can exacerbate conflicts, tensions and arguments between parents,” notes the study. (I know alot of you parenting kids with ADHD just had the same thought, “Uh DUH! Tell me something I don’t know!” Me too!) But not to worry. These marriages aren’t “doomed” but the relationships tend to need a bit more care in order for the couple to feel more “connected”.

When most people used to drive past 5200 Delmar, they saw an abandoned 1930′s gas station – a forgotten lot of nothing but bricks and concrete. But Jim McKelvey and Doug Auer saw so much more. With the help of a few other glass enthusiasts, they lovingly renovated the 12,000-sq-ft structure into what is now the largest public glass art center in not just the St. Louis area but within a 300 mile radius.
