How Do I Love Thee? Counting The Ways…
Maybe that wedding anniversary is coming up. Maybe it’s a birthday. Or maybe you just want to find a way to earn some extra brownie points with the spouse or the kids?
I found a fabulous idea that’s pretty simple to create, inexpensive and is definitely a gift from the heart.
Step One: Create a list of all of the things you love/admire about that special someone. List your favorite qualities, and characteristics. These can be silly, serious, sexual (if its a romantic interest) or a combination of all three.
Step Two: Write all of these wonderful sentiments on small, separate pieces of paper. You can get artsy and colorful or you can forgo the creative stuff and make it simple.
Step Three: Find a decorative bowl. This can be whatever size or shape you’d like. The bowl can be made of glass or go to a pottery store and paint your own! (If you go to a pottery store, please realize that your bowl will need to be placed in a kiln after it is painted. You should be able to pick it up about a week later.)
Step Four: Deposit all of those little notes. Present to the cherished one.
Your honey or kids get a surprise that lets him or her know you value them. And since you’ve spent a lot of time thinking about all of the wonderful qualities your honey or children possesses, you might find this exercise has you falling in love with that person all over again
I highly recommend personalizing the bowl yourself. There’s plenty of paint your own pottery stores within the St. Louis area. Here’s a few off the top of my head! (Kirkwood , Chesterfield, Fairview Heights, IL, and South county.)
