iCarly Is iN Stores!

Posted by on September 23, 2009

icarlyseason2My 7-year-old son is a BIGiCarly fan. So when we were offered a chance to review iCarly: Season 2 Vol. 1, we were very excited.

I believe that when he saw the package, (thanks Victor) he said, “Oh cool! I love iCarly.” Then he whined because he was told he’d have to finish homework before he watched. But, the little dude hit the books and finished those worksheets in record time. So he was content sit down and bask in iCarly hijinks.

Miranda Cosgrove plays Carly, a girl from Seattle who lives with her older brother and hosts a fun on-line show with the help of her two best friends, Sam and Freddie. The name of the webshow? iCarly.

The television show, from Nickelodeon, has grown into Tv’s top series amongst kids (ages 2-14) drawing an average of 5.6 million viewers an episode. And when you watch a few minutes of the show, you’ll see why. The characters are quirky and likable. The storylines are fun and fresh. Even I enjoy watching the shows. There have been many a time my son and I have sat together and laughed out loud over a clever line or stunt.

I think this is a great show for kids. Plus, I love that Miranda Cosgrove and her fellow actors seem like pretty great kids in real life. (You know, not gyrating around a stripper pole like a certain Hannah Montana actress.)

The two-disc set includes 11 episodes like “iSaw Him First”, “iOwe You”, “iPie, iChristmas”,” iKiss” and “iMet Fred”. Plus the first iCarly TV movie, “iGo to Japan” is also included. Special features include the making of  ”iGo to Japan” and behind the scenes extras.

You can buy the dvd on Amazon here for $20.49.

(I was lucky enough to be given a copy in exchange for a review.)
