Nancy Drew Wii game
We love, love, LOVE our Wii. And so far, we’ve really enjoyed the various Wii games we’ve gotten. So when we were offered a chance to try out the Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek, I was excited. I mean, free Wii game? How could that ever be a bad thing?
The premise behind this game is that Nancy visits a remote lodge in the Canadian Rockies. Apparently she’s there to investigate suspicious accidents at Icicle Creek lodge. What’s going on? Are all of these happenings really the result of a curse brought on by a supernatural white wolf? The resort is losing business and they are counting on Nancy to get to the bottom of this.
Throughout the game you not only get to go snowmobiling but you also have to do chores like make the bed or do make meals. For a little boy, the snowmobiling was cool. But he could have done without the chores. And the necessary reading. Seth was a bit underwhelmed by the game. He liked it. He liked that there are different levels and areas to explore. But being a total boy, he prefers games like Lego’s Star Wars, where he gets to wield a light saber and chop people in half.
The night he tried it out, the hubby and I were on a date night. So his babysitter (who’s a freshman in high school) tried out the game with him. She thought it was a cute, fun game. But methinks she didn’t get to play as long as she wanted, being that a certain little boy got all whiney and insisted upon playing Star Wars.
I liked the graphics. I like how you can explore certain rooms for clues. I was never introduced to the Nancy Drew mysteries as a young girl. What a bummer. I was missing out on getting to know a perky and feisty character. And in this Wii game? She’s just as sassy and curious.

I have the PC version of this game. I love it. I don’t own all the games but several. White Wolf is one the many I have played multiple times. There are a few mini-games with in the games that is fun to replay. Also, depending how the game is played, a player can get different nicknames. At times, there are Easter eggs to find to discover even more fun.
