Zia Offers Organic Skin Care Alternative
With the cra
ze for everything and anything organic, there’s a whole new world of skincare products out there. Zia Skinbasics is one such product. And when I was asked to review their Zia To Go Facial kit for normal to combination skin, I jumped at the chance. (For a chance to win one of three facial kits, click here!)
I checked out their website and like what I found. “Our formulas capture the natural power of foods, pure essential oils and herbal extracts, blended together to deliver skin benefits without harsh chemicals or added fragrances. We Defy Nature with Nature™. What’s not to love, right?
The kit contained a cleansing gel, bamboo exfoliant, sea tonic rosewater & aloe toner, fresh papaya enzyme mask and ultimate moisturizer. The cleansing gel is very gentle. It was great for removing light make up. But if you’re using the product to take off cosmetics applied with a heavier hand (like maybe your “Saturday night out on the town face.”), you’ll need to apply a second time.
The bamboo exfoliant and ultimate moisturizer were my favorites of this bunch. The exfoliant left my skin feeling very soft. (Rub it across your lips for soft, kissable lips!) And I ended up using the moisturizer as an eye cream and around my mouth.
The products are so gentle, I’m thinking this would be a perfect skin care line for people with very dry, sensitive skin. (Like my mama.) They’ve also got a kit for oily skin too.
Zia also has sun care, products for men, mineral make-up and body care products. A store locator can be found here.
