Hair Today – The Scoop On Nature’s Gate
Recently I got a new ‘do. I was going for “slightly edgy yet sophisticated”. What I got? Was frumpy midwestern mom. So NOT like the pictures I’d brought in. The highlights? Too few and far between. (I should have known when she styled it VERY different than what I had wanted. And the lighting was so bright, I couldn’t accurately gauge the color until later that day.)
In short? I’m not happy with my style or cut right now. But what I AM happy with? Is the overall health of my hair. I’ve been using Nature’s Gate Shampoo and Conditioner. According to their site, Nature’s Gate products are ”formulated with a unique combination of vitamins, proteins, herbs and fruit extracts to deliver beautiful results. Paraben and phthalate free. Contain no animal derived ingredients and never tested on animals.”
The Shampoo and Conditioner I’ve been using is formulated for fine hair. (According to the site, “Organic Lemongrass and Rosemary Extracts help refresh limp hair and build up body and volume. Wheat Protein and Organic Clary Sage Oil help strengthen hair for enhanced shine and manageability.”)
The scent of both the shampoo and conditioner is light and refreshing. No overwhelming perfume smell. The shampoo doesn’t lather as much as other brands but honestly, a lot of shampoos add ingredients to make their product lather so people will feel like their hair is getting clean. So while that’s a point of note, it is one of the things I like about the Nature’s Gate shampoo. Both the shampoo and conditioner rinse out fast. Hair feels clean afterwards. You don’t get a build up of product like you do with other shampoos and conditioners. And I like that too. Because I have fine hair, extra product weighs down my hair.
Nature’s Gate has hair products for all kind of hair types. For a listing go here. And for a list of stores that sell Nature’s Gate go here.
I received the products to review for free. I was no paid to conduct this review.
