Profound Beauty: Your Hair Will Thank You

Posted by on April 22, 2010

I do not have great hair.  It is neither thick nor thin, curly nor straight.  Once upon a time it was quite blonde and had a distinct color, but now, three children later, it is no longer blonde, but it also isn’t brown.  And I have three kids, which means it’s tough to get any help to boost the dishwater color.

I watch movies and television and drool over the hair of the stars.  How does Jennifer Aniston get her hair so sleek and make it look so thick?  How does Reese Witherspoon find and keep the perfect color blonde?  And why the heck does Julia Roberts get to have all that amazing hair when I’m stuck with straw?

Why, hair gods, WHY?!

I’ve heard before that the type of products you use on your hair make a big difference.  But because I’m a skeptic and I’m cheap, I never spend the money on hair products outside of my $1.47 can of aerosol hair spray.  So when I received the Profound Beauty line of hair products, I decided I would tentatively give it a try.

You see, the only time I ever really have product in my hair is when I leave the salon – and it’s rarely a good experience.  While some love the way their hair looks after leaving the salon, I usually feel like I’m wearing a bad wig.  I almost always yank my hair into a ponytail as soon as I leave.

Ah, who am I kidding – I’m almost always in a ponytail anyway…

Back to Profound Beauty.  I love how the products make my hair look!  No really, I do!  My hair actually had shape when I used the products.  And the frizz that usually necessitates the aforementioned ponytail?  Totally gone.  It’s like a Christmas Miracle!

I do hereby apologize to hair stylists across the nation with whom I have doubted and silently disagreed.  You were right – product makes a difference.  And I am in love with the Profound Beauty products.

I expect that any day now I will wake up with Julia Roberts’ long, flowing, wear-it-curly-or-straight-and-look-great-either-way hair.  I’ll let you know when it happens…

I read the write-up on it and was drooling. I was seriously tempted to keep that one for myself. heehee.

But I’ve been dying to know how it works. Thanks.
