Pure Fitness From Crystal Light Offers Tastey Alternative

Posted by on June 1, 2010

I keep a 32 oz cup of water at my side daily. I’ve noticed if I sip more, I snack less and have more energy. But sometimes drinking regular ole’ water is kind of tough. Enter the Crystal Light Pure Fitness.

Crystal Light Pure Fitness offers three flavors – Grape, Strawberry Kiwi, and Lemonade. I didn’t think I’d like them. But I was pleasantly surprised.

I expected a bit of an aftertaste and for the flavors to only taste slightly close to what they should. Because let’s face it, artificial flavors and sugar substitutes typically can’t make up for the “real deal.” But the lemonade actually tasted like lemonade. Grape was my favorite. Strawberry kiwi was actually tastey too.  (That’s cause it’s sweetened with evaporated cane juice and TruviaTM, an all-natural, calorie-free sweetener derived from the stevia plant, and it’s colored and flavored with natural ingredients.)

And that makes me happy. So happy in fact, that I’ve got to hide this stuff from the men in my family. The boy and the husband are like locusts swarming through the pantry. Nothing’s sacred so if I want something (even one itty bitty thing) for myself? I need to hide. This, as of late, is the product I’ve been trying to hide.

It isn’t calorie free. One package, which flavors about 34 ounces of water, contains 30 calories. But really, if you’re sipping on water throughout your day instead of reaching for a candy bar or cookie or a regular soda, this is a nonissue.

Since it can help restore electrolites  to aid hydration during light physical activity, it is great for a quick walk around the block or a more serious workout.

Did you know Crystal Light is on Facebook? Yup. They might be giving out some freebies. So check them out.

I received my samples free from Crystal Light.
