Many a parent, especially those with more than one child, feel as if they’re the ringleader of their own personal circus. Well, now’s your chance to take your brood to experience a circus of the more traditional sort. Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey’s ZING ZANG ZOOM is coming to St. Louis from Oct. 15-18 at Scottrade Center.

Who said there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Well, they were wrong.
Free tickets are now available for the St. Louis Interactive Festival. The annual conference, hosted by The St. Louis Bloggers Guild, runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday October 17, 2009 at Shock City Music Works at 2200 Gravois, St. Louis.
Panels for the day-long conference and networking event are planned to engage new and seasoned bloggers alike. And? A complimentary breakfast as well as a free lunch is also included. (How cool is that? Methinks very.)

Unfortunately emergencies and disasters happen. While we can’t control the motion of certain events, we can at least be prepared.
Clorox and the Red Cross have compiled a list of preparation steps that can keep you armed:
*Get a kit — Have an emergency preparedness kit for your household. Include basic supplies like water (1 gallon per person, per day for drinking and washing with a minimum 3-day supply); at least a three day supply of non-perishable food, flashlight, multi-purpose tool, radio, first aid kit, important medications and copies of personal documents and disinfecting bleach.

Whether you’re a social media novice or a pro, you’ll want to keep October 17, 2009 open! You’ve got plans to attend the St. Louis Interactive Festival. There will be a full day of speakers, panels, networking and interaction with some of the greatest minds in on the St. Louis social media scene.
The conference is being put on by the St. Louis Bloggers Guild. Panels and classes include internet privacy, marketing to women, guerrilla-marketing, photography and graphic design, vlogging and podcasting, reinforcing your online presence, online adverting and better webpage coding with HTML and much more.

When a girlfriend told our circle of friends that she was moving to Lake St. Louis, we all grumbled. Our group lives in West County and were used to her living a short walk away. “Why can’t you stay closer?” We asked. “Why would you want to live there?” (Not that any of us thought there was something wrong with Lake St. Louis. Just that we didn’t want our beloved friend to move!)
