For many, the holiday season is full of cheer, gifts, and bright lights. But, for those less fortunate, it can be an anxious time as they struggle to put food on their families’ tables. See how you can help!

Bloggers and Twitter-users everywhere! Lend me your ears. (Or eyes!)

For many, the holiday season is full of cheer, gifts, and bright lights. But, for those less fortunate, it can be an anxious time as they struggle to put food on their families’ tables. In St. Louis City alone, 36 percent of the city’s population participates in the Food Stamp Program. And, in the county there has been a 31 percent increase in those participating in the Food Stamp Program since 2007.

USfidelis, is partnering with Operation Food Search to help the St. Louis community. Until December 15, USfidelis is working to help others keep driving against hunger, just as it helps keep its customers driving on the road. USfidelis will donate $10 (up to $10,000 total) to Operation Food Search per tweet or blog post, which Operation Food Search executive director Sunny Schaefer said is the approximate cost to feed a family of four for one day.

They’ll be tracking all online efforts, so please include the following short URL (http://bit.ly/usfidelisgiving) and hashtag for all your tweets (#usfidelis).

Here’s hoping we can make a profound and positive impact!
